More Peugeot e-Partner details

The arrival of e-Partner Van, the first fully electric vehicle for PEUGEOT on Australian shores, marks the next step in the brand’s local electrification journey.

A tried and tested business partner for over 20 years, the appeal of the PEUGEOT Partner Van’s range has been enhanced, with this latest addition offering unrivalled comfort in a utility vehicle, as well as the freedom to choose between a petrol engine or an electric motor.

Priced at $59,990 MLP1, the e-Partner is offered to discerning Australian consumers in a single, long wheelbase variant – PEUGEOT e-Partner Pro Long Auto.

Powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 50kWh, the e-Partner produces 100kW of power and 260Nm of torque and delivers a WLTP test range of 258km2.

Built on PEUGEOT’s EMP-2 modular multi-energy-platform, the e-Partner works like a van but provides the smooth performance, direct handling and comfort of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

Kate Gillis, Managing Director Peugeot Australia, said: “Not only does the PEUGEOT e-Partner’s highly-anticipated arrival herald what is to come on our electrification journey in Australia, it also offers a compelling alternative to an important audience: businesses who are looking to make the move to electric when considering how to power their operations.

“There’s no doubt that Partner’s reputation as a capable, adaptable and efficient workhorse will be bolstered by the benefits of a fully electric mobility solution.”

e-Partner – The perfect workhorse for the day ahead

The PEUGEOT e-Partner was designed with the needs of a commercial van customer in mind, particularly an understanding that volume and use of the cargo space along with ease of handling and manoeuvrability are key considerations when purchasing.

To address these requirements, the e-Partner combines compact external dimensions with maximum loading capacities. To achieve this, the batteries are located under the floor, without any impact on the e-Partner’s 3.9 cubic meters3 loading volume, identical to the internal combustion variant.

As an adaptable and nimble workhorse, the e-Partner features a turning circle of 11.4m, a body length of 4.75m, a width of just over 2.10m with mirrors open and a height of less than 1.90 m for ease of access to most car parks.

The dual rear swing barn doors allow for easy access when loading all your gear and 6 tie-down rings in the cargo bay help secure your goods, with a payload of up to 753kg.

Uncompromising driving pleasure

The battery placement of e-Partner fosters rigidity and delivers optimal weight distribution, helping ensure the van’s signature SUV-like driving pleasure and enjoyment are uncompromised.

A specially adapted power steering system and optimised suspension comfort, which mirrors that of the internal combustion variants, helps ensure the PEUGEOT e-Partner delivers ease across the variety of driving situations and the best performance, unladen or laden.

The new PEUGEOT e-Partner offers 3 driving modes from the mode selector:

  • Eco (60 kW, 190 Nm): promotes autonomy and smooth driving,
  • Normal (80 kW, 210 Nm): Optimal for everyday use,
  • Power (100 kW, 260 Nm): optimises performance when transporting heavy loads.

  • A consumption gauge for temperature comfort accessories (heating and air conditioning),
  • A battery charge level gauge,
  • A colour matrix to view energy flows, monitor charging (current or delayed), onboard computer information and autonomy.

  • The selector switch for the 3 driving modes – Eco, Normal and Power.

electric parking brake

The new PEUGEOT e-Partner is equipped with the electric parking brake, a new feature on this model, which in addition to freeing up floor space, enhances the vehicle’s practicality and ease of use.

Storage space throughout the cabin has also been designed with practically and ease of use in mind, meeting the many different uses of those professions behind the wheel. Storage compartments are easy to reach and cleverly distributed throughout the cabin including the space in front of the passenger left by the airbag, which is now a “bag in roof”, that can be used to hold a 15″ computer. A cable threader also allows the computer to be left charging directly in the storage compartment.

A unique feature for electric vehicle to ensure pedestrian safety, at speeds of up to 30 km/h an audible signal is emitted from the PEUGEOT e-Partner to indicate the presence of the vehicle in forward and reverse gear, known as the Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS).

Among the list of standard features for e-Partner, the 180o colour reversing camera plus front and rear parking sensors not only help keep you and other road users safe, but also make manoeuvring tight spaces easy.

Accompanying 6 airbags, additional standard safety technologies include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Braking Distribution (EBD), Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Active Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Forward Collision Warning.

Guaranteed Future Value

The Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) is the minimum future value of your vehicle as determined by Peugeot Financial Services and set out in your contract.

At the end of the term, you can select from three options: (1) sell or trade-in the vehicle and repay your loan balance; (2) return the vehicle to us; or (3) retain the vehicle by paying the GFV amount, which is a lump sum amount owed to us at the end of the loan term.

Total interest payable on the loan will be higher than a fixed rate loan if you select the GFV option. Monthly repayments will be lower compared to a similar loan term with no GFV or equivalent balloon final payment. Available on new and demonstrator Peugeot vehicles for selected models only.

Vehicle eligibility is subject to change. If you decide to return your car at the end of your term, PFS, or another person or entity with PFS’s agreement will purchase the vehicle from you for the GFV, which will be applied to reduce your outstanding loan amount.

However, you will need to pay us an additional amount if the vehicle is damaged or you have travelled excess kilometres. Credit criteria, fees, charges and terms and conditions apply.
