Suzuki e VITARA – Suzuki is entering a new era of mobility with the introduction of our first fully electric SUV, the all-new e VITARA, set to arrive in Australia from June 2026.

The e VITARA represents the evolution of one of our most recognisable nameplates, combining Suzuki’s compact SUV heritage with advanced electric performance, intelligent technology, and a bold new design direction. True to our DNA, the e VITARA is underpinned by our long-standing focus on reliability, efficiency, lightweight engineering, and practical design.
Compact, efficient, and intelligently engineered, the all-new Suzuki e VITARA delivers advanced electric technology and everyday SUV versatility to meet the diverse needs of Australian motorist ready to embrace the future of mobility.
e VITARA features a design that combines a sense of advanced technology and strength, a BEV powertrain that delivers a nimble and sharp driving experience, and a newly developed platform HEARTECT-e specifically for BEVs.

The e VITARA will be available in two variants – Motion and Ultra. An electric 4WD system “ALLGRIP-e” will be equipped to the Ultra variant, which provides not only off-road capability but also powerful performance.
“The e VITARA marks a defining moment for Suzuki, it’s our first battery electric vehicle and a clear signal of how we’re evolving as a brand, whilst remaining true to the values that have always defined Suzuki – efficiency, reliability and everyday usability,” said Michael Pachota, General Manager – Automobile, Suzuki Australia.
“The e VITARA represents the next chapter in the evolution of one of Suzuki’s most recognisable nameplates, combining our compact SUV heritage with advanced electric technology, modern design and the practical thinking our customers expect from Suzuki,” continued Michael Pachota, General Manager – Automobile, Suzuki Australia.
Exterior Design
From the outside, the e VITARA stands out thanks to its bold Adventure SUV styling with modern high-tech electric-era design; featuring a strong, sculpted exterior highlighted by sharp LED lighting, a confident stance and aerodynamic detailing that enhances efficiency without compromising presence.

Interior design
Inside the vehicle, the cabin delivers a refined yet practical environment, with a clean, minimalist dashboard design, floating centre console, and ambient lighting elements throughout the interior. Unlike other BEVs in the market, the e VITARA is equipped with physical climate control switches for ease of use, alongside touchscreen functionality, reinforcing Suzuki’s focus on intuitive and practical design
HEARTECT-e platform
The e VITARA is built on Suzuki’s newly developed HEARTECT-e platform, designed specifically for battery electric vehicles. The platform optimises cabin space, structural rigidity and driving range, while efficiently managing collision energy and integrating high-voltage battery systems to support everyday usability.
Powertrain
The e VITARA features an all-new electric powertrain, incorporating a lithium iron-phosphate (LFP) battery system, electric drive axles and an integrated heat pump battery thermal management system fitted as standard. It is offered with battery capacities configurations of either 49kWh 2WD (motion) or 61kWh 4WD with ALLGRIP-e (Ultra).
For the Motion variation the electric motor output is rated at 106kW and for the Ultra variation it’s 135kW, due to front and rear motor power delivery phasing, and 114Nm of additional torque available. The rear eAxle also helps boost traction when required in slippery conditions.

ALLGRIP-e
Available with the Ultra variant, ALLGRIP-e is Suzuki’s newly developed electric four-wheel drive system, utilising separate front and rear electric motors for precise torque control. The system offers enhanced traction, stability and confidence across varying road conditions, with dedicated driving modes designed to support both everyday driving and more challenging surfaces, making it the ultimate 4×4 BEV vehicle in the market.

Charging and Heatpump
The e VITARA supports both AC and DC charging, with fast-charging capability enabling convenient top-ups and reduced charging times. The charging port is located on the passenger side front wing and charging times under initial development were targeted as:
- DC rapid charging time of 45 minutes from 10%-80%
- 11kW AC 3-phase 230V/16A power supply – fast charge of 5.5 hours from 10%-100%
- 7kW AC single-phase 230V/32a power supply – charge of 9 hours from 10%-100%
(Charging times are for both 49kWh and 61kWh models)
Unlike many of its direct competitors, e VITARA offers a Heat Pump as standard equipment across the range which plays a key role in optimising battery performance, driving range and charging efficiency in varying temperatures.
